OUR METHODOLOGY

We do not try to be all things to all attorneys. We are extremely selective in terms of the candidates with whom we work.

We are equally selective with regard to our client law firms. We only work with firms who provide superior opportunities for our select candidates. In turn, those firms view us as vital partners integral to their strategic growth plans. (In other words, they take our calls or return them promptly.) 

We work in two ways:

  • We contact you on behalf of one or more AmLaw 100 firms with a pressing need for your exact practice and expertise (who often will have a specific interest in you); or

  •  We contact firms who meet your search criteria to the letter after we have discussed each firm with you at length and obtained your permission.

Either way, we focus intently and exclusively on your needs.   If a firm does not meet your search criteria, we will not try to convince you it does. That’s one of the reasons our clients love working with us. Rather than focus on a high volume of partner placements, we believe the retention rate of the attorneys we’ve placed is the most important aspect of our business.

Our Access

We work directly with office managing partners, national practice group leaders, executive and management committee members and firm chairs. Doing so enables us to know exactly what firms want and whether your practice and, more importantly, you, would be a great fit.

Unlike many search firms, we are not limited to the information contained on a firm’s website or a recruiting department’s understanding of its firm’s lateral partner needs.  We get that information from, and have direct access to, multiple sources at the highest level of firm management. 

What we need

We work exclusively with partners with $3MM or more annually in portable business with rates of $800/hr or higher.  (These requirements may vary in certain markets and for supporting attorneys when multiple attorneys are hired together.)
